What is Elevate?

Elevate is TD SYNNEX’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Business Resource Group (BRG) dedicated to attracting, retaining, and advancing women. Elevate’s mission is built on 3 pillars, and in alignment with the Career pillar, Elevate is excited to offer the E3 program.

What is E3?

E3 is a peer-to-peer networking program where both men and women across TD SYNNEX are encouraged to devote a little over 30 minutes a month to network and support each other:

Engage: Spend 30 minutes a month networking with and/or supporting a co-worker.
Encourage: Spend 5 minutes a month celebrating a co-worker on a recent win.
Elevate: Spend 1 minute a week elevating a co-worker amongst leadership and peers alike.

For more information about the E3 program, contact E3@tdsynnex.com.

What does it mean to Elevate someone?

Elevate a co-worker in conversations with your peers, leadership, or executive teams.

Who can participate?

E3 is open to all co-workers!

How do I sign up for E3?

If you are interested in learning more about other areas of the business, advancing your career, work-life balance, or any other topic, register here as an E3 Co-Worker.

If you are interested in supporting your co-workers by offering guidance, advocacy, or insights, register here as an E3 Advocacy Coach.

Can I be both an E3 Co-Worker and Advocacy Coach at the same time?

Yes, you can register by using 2 different email accounts. Be sure to use a different company email address than you did for your original Coaches account.

For example, if you are already registered as a coach using your @techdata.com email address, you can use your new @tdsynnex.com email address to register for a new account as a co-worker.

Are there prerequisites to join and what are they?

There are no requirements before joining, however, it is highly recommended that you review the new E3 by Elevate and Learn To Be A Coach sites which detail the E3 Advocacy Coach Commitment and provide training resources for all potential coaches to review before becoming a coach.

Do I have to have to complete all 3 activities of the E3 Initiative?

We do encourage all participants to complete all 3 of the activities – Engage, Encourage, Elevate. This allows us to expand our culture of DEI in support of recruiting, retaining, and advancing women at TD SYNNEX.

What happens after I register for an account?

E3 Co-Workers will receive a confirmation email to change your password and complete the registration process with which you can then use to Login to your new account. Once you have completed your co-worker Profile you will see at least 4 of your E3 Advocacy Coach matches displayed on your Dashboard and you may start connecting immediately!

For E3 Advocacy Coaches, the process is the same except you will need to complete your coach Profile and check to make sure you have enabled meeting requests on your Dashboard so your E3 Co-Worker matches can begin connecting with you immediately.

Please note that if all the required sections are not fully completed, your profile may be hidden or deleted from the Coaches database.

I registered as an E3 Co-Worker. How do I get started with my E3 Advocacy Coach matches?

As an E3 Co-Worker in the program you will –

  • Bring your authenticity and positivity to your meeting.

Encourage a co-worker on a recent win, success, customer service, or going above and beyond.

I already set up my profile and received my matches as an E3 Co-Worker. What are my next steps?

You will see at least 4 of your new E3 Advocacy Coach matches on your profile Dashboard and should begin by clicking View Profile of any that you are interested in connecting with right away.

Use any of the connection options on the coach’s profile page to introduce yourself, ask questions, or request meetings. You can also find links to their LinkedIn profiles, email addresses, and more!

How often should we meet?

Meeting with your E3 match is meant to be flexible. We recommend you meet 1-3 times to build on and follow-up on your area of interest. You may continue to meet if both parties agree.

Can I meet with more than one coach simultaneously?

Yes, you can meet with as many as you like!

I completed my E3 Advocacy Coach registration and profile. Now what?

You’re all set! When you have a connection request, all notifications will go directly to your TD SYNNEX email inbox, so be sure to monitor for inquiries from Coaches@tdsynnex.com.

Your E3 Co-Worker matches are responsible for initiating a connection via the Coaches tool and all you have to worry about is the follow-up (via your TD SYNNEX email).

How will E3 Co-Workers know I am an E3 Advocacy Coach?

As an E3 Advocacy Coach, your profile is distinguished in a few ways:

  • 1. Upon your registration, you will confirm you are an E3 member and click-yes-to-agree to the E3 terms. As a result, you will be tagged as an E3 Advocacy Coach which will be displayed prominently on your dashboard, profile, and in the search and browse list of coaches.
  • 2. Your public profile page will feature the E3 Badge near your name, photo, and coaching superpower.
  • 3. In the search and browse results, the E3 Badge will display next to your name, photo, and coaching superpower.
What are the expectations for E3 Advocacy Coaches?

E3 Advocacy Coaches are expected to abide by these commitment terms:

  • 1. Read and agree to adhere to the E3 honor system.
  • 2. Be prepared and willing to connect with anyone that reaches out to you, including partners.
  • 3. Be accessible by putting in the required time and respond promptly by checking your email often.
  • 4. Be present and show up to your engagements.
  • 5. Keep communication open and share relevant content.
What happens after we complete the E3 Initiative?

E3 is an ongoing initiative, and we encourage you to participate frequently. We ask you to consider maintaining your account as an E3 Co-Worker or E3 Advocacy Coach to help build a stronger culture of DEI across TD SYNNEX.

Now that E3 has gone digital, you have the several options which were not readily available previously:

  • 1. You can create both an E3 Co-Worker account and an E3 Advocacy Coach account using 2 separate company email addresses.
  • 2. You can make connections with any of our other coaches in our Coaches network at any time of your own choosing whether you registered as an E3 Advocacy Coach or an E3 Co-Worker.
  • 3. You can request to connect with any other coach in our Coaches network if you are interested in finding a coach for yourself, even if you are already registered as an E3 Advocacy Coach.
I already registered as a coach on TD SYNNEX Coaches. How can I sign up as an E3 Co-Worker?

Simply go to the new E3 by Elevate Homepage and follow the steps to register for a new account as an E3 Co-Worker.

Be sure to use a different company email address than you did for your original Coaches account. For example, if you registered as a coach using your @techdata.com email address, you can use your new @tdsynnex.com email address to register for a new account as a co-worker.

Who can make a connection with me?

Your profile will be visible to all users of the platform that supports E3 by Elevate, TD SYNNEX Coaches. This user base is inclusive of E3 Co-Workers, co-workers not affiliated with E3, and colleagues that are members of our IT Solution Provider Customers organizations. As such, it is possible that you might appear in a top search result to a user who is deliberately seeking to connect with someone with the skill(s) that you highlight on your profile.

Coaches are highly encouraged to engage and respond to all of their connections, regardless of user type. To put that into perspective, most coaches can expect no more than 2-3 connection requests a month (regardless of user type).

I’m concerned about my capacity for connection requests. How can I limit the requests I get?

On your Dashboard, there are a few features provided to help users send connection requests that align with your needs and expectations including:

  • 1. Add a message to the top of your profile with details on your availability. Encourage users to request meeting times that fit with your schedule (For example, “3:00 PM EST and 3:30 PM EST on Mondays and Fridays work well for me”).
  • 2. You can turn off meeting availability. For example, all coach profiles suggest a few options to make a connection (all notifications are sent directly to your email with a link to private user profiles). These include asking a question, sending a message, and requesting a meeting. If you are at capacity for meeting requests, your dashboard includes a toggle to turn meeting availability on/off and only allow users to connect with you using the other options.
  • 3. You can request to temporarily hide your profile altogether. Should you need to hide your profile for a period of time due to bandwidth, vacation, or leave, you can send a request to Coaches@tdsynnex.com to hide your profile temporarily.
Who can see my profile?

As an E3 Advocacy Coach, you are automatically considered a TD SYNNEX Coach (the platform which supports the E3 by Elevate program) and your profile is listed within the TD SYNNEX Coaches master database.

For context, TD SYNNEX Coaches is a master database of 150+ Coaches across TD SYNNEX and key ecosystem partners (like suppliers) as a subject matter expert in the attributes and superpowers you choose to display on your profile. This means your profile is visible to all of the platform’s users, including E3 Co-Workers, co-workers (not affiliated with Elevate), and colleagues that belong to our IT Solution Providers customers.

I am an E3 Advocacy Coach. Can I hide my profile from partners (resellers) but make my profile visible to vendors and TD SYNNEX co-workers?

No, once you have clicked to agree to the TD SYNNEX Coaches terms and set up your coach profile, it is publicly available to be viewed by anyone using the Coaches platform and you have agreed to respond to anyone interested in connecting with you as a coach.

Coaches are highly encouraged to engage and respond to all of their connections, regardless of user type. To put that into perspective, most coaches can expect no more than 2-3 connection requests a month (regardless of user type).

I am an E3 Advocacy Coach. What if I want to find a coach for myself?

Good news! You are not solely limited to coaching and mentoring others. With a Coaches account, you can make connections with other coaches, peer-to-peer. Your account allows you to search for peer coaches in our directory, via the Search & Browse tab, any of whom you can then connect with.

I am a member of Elevate but interested in matching with coaches affiliated with other TD SYNNEX Business Resource Groups. How can I find coaches affiliated with Beacon, Fuerza, Patriots, Rise, or Spectrum?

Simply select Search & Browse from your Dashboard, then use the filter to select the BRG or Mentorship Program you are interested in. As long as a coach has added any of those options to their profiles, they will show up in your search and it will also appear on each coach’s profile.

I have an idea on how to improve this program. How do I share my feedback?
