Transputec is an established Information Technology Services and Solutions company with more than 35 years of IT innovation and excellent customer service. As they worked to establish their initial practice around Amazon Web Services (AWS), they were faced with a challenge of adapting their sales, services and billing processes to a cloud model where consumption is billed on a monthly basis based on actual services used during that period. This is very different from a traditional enterprise IT model focused on large periodic capital expenditures.

TD SYNNEX StreamOne Ion Enterprise (SIE) provided Transputec with a global billing consolidation and optimization platform upon which to build and scale their AWS practice. With the platform, Transputec was able to quickly establish a best-practices approach to consistently bill their customers for their monthly AWS consumption, with granular details around the specific AWS services consumed. SIE also enabled them to bill customers for consumption of other cloud platforms, like Microsoft Azure, in a consistent fashion.

Since establishing their relationship with TD SYNNEX and implementing the SIE platform, Transputec has grown their AWS business from a standing start to a $2.5M/year annual run rate. They have established a professional AWS practice that is well respected by customers and AWS teams in their region, and they recently achieved Advanced tier status with the AWS Partner Network. Based on this success, they are increasing their investment in the AWS partnership and plan to continue on a path of rapid growth with the SIE platform underpinning their cloud-first strategy.
