Who We Are

Beacon is TD SYNNEX’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Business Resource Group (BRG) dedicated to providing Black co-workers with a platform and resources for achieving professional goals and overcoming challenges. Beacon provides opportunities for education, mentorship, professional development, and community outreach to Black and ally co-workers alike to foster an inclusive workplace for all. Beacon first launched at TD SYNNEX on November 30, 2017.

Beacon is currently active in North America only but welcomes co-workers from any location to join in connecting and learning about Black culture, challenges, and successes. As with all our Business Resource Groups at TD SYNNEX, Beacon is a valuable resource group not only for our Black co-workers, but also ally co-workers from other races and ethnicities who are looking to learn and grow as advocates for their Black peers.

Beacon Buddies

Beacon Buddies is an extension of our Beacon BRG. This arm of our BRG is set up as a resource tool for the employees of TD SYNNEX to take advantage of while learning how to navigate the company, learn valuable tactics and processes for your positions day-to-day, find a Buddy (Coach) to show you the ropes and help you become proficient in your role, find training resources to help you advance in your career, and everything in between.

The mission of Beacon Buddies is to create a valuable, long-lasting relationship between you and your colleagues that will enlighten, develop, and nourish your professional career in your time at TD SYNNEX. We aim to provide you all of the necessary tools while creating a familiar environment in order to make you comfortable and successful in all your endeavors that you set out to achieve.

 

The Beacon Buddies Commitment

In order to join Beacon Buddies, we ask that you abide by the following guidelines:

1. Provide all relevant information (background, education, interests, role, goals, etc).
2. Be intentional about what you would like to receive (coaching, mentoring, etc).
3. Schedule and be prepared for all Buddy meetings and conversations.
4. Proactive and regular engagement (at least twice per quarter with your Buddy).
5. Attend the regularly scheduled All Beacon Buddies Check-Ins.

We strongly encourage all aspiring coaches to complete the provided training in our Learning & Training Resources section. These are not required however all are highly recommended to help you to grow and improve upon your strengths as a coach.

Our Beacon Buddies Community

Any co-worker can become a Beacon Buddies member today by participating in the program through the TD SYNNEX Coaches platform. Once you have completed registering as a Beacon Apprentice, you can begin connecting with other members of the community instantly.
